+Your flowers will arrive looking thirsty and sleepy. This is absolutely NORMAL. Please refer to our Flower Care tab on this product page for a descriptive process on care and handling instructions.

++In the event that a substitution may be necessary to make certain that your flowers are delivered on time, we take the utmost care in assuring that your order is as similar to your original flower choice as possible even if this means substituting flowers of higher value. Our flowers are shipped directly from our farms to your doorstep. Before shipping your flowers, we prepare them for their journey with proper hydration methods. If your flowers appear sleepy and thirsty after their journey it is absolutely NORMAL. Follow these simple steps to ensure your flowers have the proper care.

*IF your snapdragons have been shipped laying down, it is normal for them to arrive curled over. Snapdragons are phototropic, meaning that the stems will naturally follow the light. To straighten out the flower stem, place a lamp directly above no closer than 6 feet from your flowers as they hydrate*

  1. When your boxes arrive, it is important that you get your flowers in water as quickly as possible. Open your boxes and remove any protective packaging, such as foam or paper.
  2. Inspect your flowers.*
  3. Gather buckets or containers to hold the flowers. Ensure your buckets or containers are very clean. We recommend rinsing them with warm water.
  4. Fill the containers with at least 4 inches of fresh, cold water. If flower food is available, follow the package directions for adding it to the water.
  5. Cut any straps and remove flowers from the box. Remove any rubber bands or plastic sleeves securing flower bunches together.
  6. Remove any foliage that would fall below the waterline. Leaves below the waterline may cause bacteria to form, shortening the life of your flowers.
  7. Using sharp flower shears or scissors, cut stems diagonally under cool, running water. Cut about an inch off of each stem.
  8. Immediately after cutting the stem, place the flower in the prepared water.
  9. Ensure that you have sufficient room in each bucket for the amount of stems you will be storing. Do not overcrowd your containers. Overcrowding may damage stems and blooms and effect the blooming process.
  10. Allow flowers at least 4 hours to hydrate, flowers may take up to 12 hours to properly hydrate. Periodically check the water levels, flowers drink a lot of water when they first arrive and the water may need to be refilled.
  11. Keep flowers away from direct sunlight, drafts or extreme temperatures. Flowers should be stored in a cool, dry area until ready to use.
  12. Change water every 24 hours to keep flowers fresh.

*If upon first inspection, you foresee a problem with your flowers, do not proceed processing your order. Leave the flowers intact in the box and call us immediately at 1-877-50 ROSES (507-6737)

Classic Botanical Elegance Dream Come True

I consider myself to be a practical gal, and knew that throughout the wedding planning process, certain things would fall outside of our budget range. The one thing I was set on however, was the fact that I NEEDED real flowers and greenery at my wedding and reception. The thought of using fake flowers felt like I was getting cheated a little. I know they last longer...but I wanted to be able to smell the flowers and eucalyptus throughout the night, cementing it in my memories. I wanted a mix of large blooms mixed into a variety of eucalyptus. I bought a box of 125 white roses from BJ's, the Extra Large pack of Eucalyptus mix, and 20 bunches of the silver dollar eucalyptus for good measure. I was so skeptical about how big or little the bunches would be when they arrived, because they are based on weight. Friend, let me tell you, IT WILL BE ENOUGH! I am happy to say that it was plenty for my wedding party, the ceremony and the reception decoration. The night before the wedding we had an all hands on deck bouquet bash, and we created all of the bouquets, wreaths, and boutonnieres . Wendy at Fiftyflowers was my designated CSR, and she was wonderful. She texted me immediately once I placed my order, and again when my flowers were delivered to make sure that everything was arrived in good condition! I was very impressed, and definitely recommend Fiftyflowers to all DIY savvy brides-to-be!

A Wildly Eclectic New York Wedding

Two East coast kids, Connor and myself, planned our highly anticipated wedding all the way across the country in California and loved every second of it! After spending countless hours scrolling through Pinterest, our vision became clear. We would have to throw a wild, crazy, cool wedding, that was truly US. Each vendor was carefully sought out, off-the-beaten-path, alternative, and unique. When it came time to figuring out flowers and I saw what our ideas were quoted at, I took a moment of silence, a minute of sadness, and knew there had to be another way. When I found Fifty Flowers, immediately my mind was set - I would do the flowers myself. As a designer this was fun for me, a challenge, and a learning experience. In no time I was a floral expert (or I'd like to think). With a small militia to back me up (12 bridesmaids, moms, dads, and grandma), I knew it could be done. All hands on deck, I was filled with joy as I watched the people closest to me smile, laugh, and bond while tying together our special day. The photos listed here are from both my rehearsal dinner and wedding. Thank you everyone, and thank you Fifty Flowers for making this weekend unforgettable.

Fox Island Wedding

Josh and Demerey met in college at the University of Nevada Reno. She was a local girl and he was from Alaska. They decided a half way point between the two families would be the perfect place to get married (Fox Island, WA). Demerey's grandparents have an amazing residence on the Island where they were able to host the wedding and spend the rest of Labor Day weekend. Josh and Demerey said I Do in front of their friends and family on a gazebo overlooking the Puget Sound.

Snapdragon order

I ordered 50 white snapdragons, I only received about 20 white, the rest were pink and fusia/deep purple, and unfortunately I could not use them as I was making an arrangement for a bride who only wanted white and greenery. I even received a text from someone saying she personally reviewed my order so I’m not sure how the drastic color difference was missed.
