Today I am going to continue with the requests of our FiftyFlowers Facebook Friends. If you follow us on Facebook, you know I recently asked our friends to tell me what they want to see in our blog. One big question was how to care for and transport wholesale flowers, which I covered in the post, Flower Care and Transportation Tips. Another popular subject was budget, and I couldn’t agree more on how important this topic is for our Brides, so I have decided to do a whole Budget Series! I have enlisted the help of Violet, our Bouquet Inspiration designer, and together we are going to bring you 5 different looks all around $350! Are you ready for this?!
The first look we are going to do is Vintage (another Facebook request!). This inspiration will give you a Bridal Bouquet, 2 Bridesmaids Bouquets, 2 Mini Bouquets, 5 Boutonnieres, 8 Centerpieces, and a Welcome Arrangement. You can get all this for $370, but if you ask us for a 5% discount code, you can get it all for $351! That’s all your wedding flowers for $351. Let’s break it down…
(Note: This is shown in Green, but can be done in Pink, White, Yellow, Peach, or Purple. Just choose your favorite colors in each flower!)
Wholesale Flowers to Order: (Remember, we are showing Green, but you can pick the colors that work for you!)
- 20 stems Hydrangea Lime Green Flower
- 6 bunches, 150 stems Green Carnation Flowers
- 8-10 bunches, 80-100 stems Ivy Green Hypericum Berries
For the Bridal Bouquet you will use 3 hydrangea, 20 carnations (Tip: cluster in groups of 3-5 for better texture), and 10 stems hypericum berries. The great thing about these flowers, is they are super easy to arrange! Finish with a crisp graphic ribbon, lace, or an old handkerchief to customize your bouquet.
To create two Bridesmaids Bouquets, you will use 1 hydrangea, 15 carnations (remember to cluster them!), and 5 stems hypericum berries in each one. Finish these bouquets with a bright bold ribbon in the color of your choice.
If you want to make some mini bouquets for your Moms or if you have a junior bridesmaid or flower girl, then you can use some of the leftover carnations and hypericum berries. Use a few carnations with a stem or two of hypericum berries, tie with a ribbon, and you have perfectly sweet mini bouquet!
Using 2 sprigs of hypericum berries each, you can make 5 boutonnieres, for your Groom, 2 Groomsmen, and 2 Dads. Wrap the stems of the berries in floral tape to create one “stem”, then finish by wrapping with twine, leather or fabric.
A Welcome Arrangement is great way to spruce up the guest book or welcome table. To make this arrangement you will use 3 hydrangeas, 10 carnations, and 5 stems hypericum berries. To keep with the vintage theme, Violet suggests using milk glass (the great thing about milk glass is that you can find all kinds of great shapes, sizes and patterns!), found tea tins, or plain glass containers wrapped in fabric!
Centerpieces: We can make 8 centerpieces, but to keep it interesting, we are going to create 2 different types. So, you will have 4 of one centerpiece and 4 of the other. Mix it up!
The first type of centerpiece is the Hydrangea Centerpiece. To create 4 of these, you will use 3 hydrangeas and 5 stems hypericum berries in each one.
The second type of centerpiece is the Carnation Centerpiece. To create 4 of these, you will use 15 carnations and 5 stems hypericum berries in each one.
For any of the centerpieces, if you have smaller vases or tins, you could break up the stems into several different containers and bunch them in groups on each table. This look would look great with a bunch of small milk glass vases in different shapes and sizes. Lots of visual interest!
I hope you enjoyed the first Inspiration of our Budget Series! Coming up next: Romantic Garden! 🙂
