A Super Chic Picnic Inspired Birthday Party

written by Thalia Basulto September 12, 2018

Abby Larson, the founder of Style Me Pretty, has done it again with yet another perfectly executed event! This time it was a picnic themed birthday party for her daughter. This celebration included a super chic black and white buffalo plaid tablecloth, fresh flowers, fancy boxed lunches filled with comfort food and a balloon garland with greenery peeking through!

To set the picnic theme tone, Abby used miniature picnic baskets filled with watermelon candy and attached small invitations. For decor, she started with a gorgeous black and white plaid tablecloth and then incorporated pops of color. She created lavish centerpieces using four black urns to display her red and pink flowers. (I can’t get over how stunning the red contrasts perfectly against the black urns looks!) The centerpieces were made up of red ranunculus, a mixture of pink and red peonies, Italian ruscus and wax flowers.

Some of the other decorations included a beautiful flower stand of mix-matched buckets filled with fresh flowers. Flowers like Sugar Plum Dahlias, Black Magic Roses, White Wax Flowers, Craspedia Billy Balls, red and white astilbe, a mixture of garden roses and Italian Ruscus greenery, were set around the picnic-inspired goodie bags table.

Ruth Eileen Photography perfectly captured the birthday soiree and all of its cuteness! Check it out…
