Flashback Friday: Hanging Floral Display

written by Thalia Basulto April 20, 2018

Just a few years ago, we provided flowers for Sugar and Cloth’s tutorial: DIY Hanging Flowers Installation. If you’re not familiar with Sugar and Cloth then I highly suggest checking out this lifestyle blog! Hanging florals are still a popular wedding decor trend and over time it has evolved into floral chandeliers and other unique hanging flower designs.

This tutorial featured our colorful mix of ranunculus and garden roses. I absolutely loved the pop of colors and the simplicity of the overall look. Her tutorial walks you through how to create the base using a wooden canvas frame and chicken wire, and how to hang the stems using fishing wire.

Here’s what Ashely from Sugar and Cloth ordered: Assorted Colors Ranunculus (100 stems), Peony Rose Bridal Piano Garden Roses (36 stems), Peony Rose Pink Piano Garden Roses (36 stems), and Cabbage Garden Rose Romantic Antique (36 stems).

Take a look at some highlights from this super cute tutorial. These gorgeous images were taken from Jared Smith Photography. Be sure to check out the DIY Steps on Sugar & Cloth!

For an affordable alternative, substitute the ranunculus and garden roses with carnations and mini carnations. Looking for more DIY projects? Check out our Pinterest board dedicated to that topic!
