Flower Spotlight: Snapdragons

written by Katie January 11, 2017

Today I decided to gear a post towards those who are planning ahead, and focus on a popular flower for Spring weddings! Snapdragons are an elegant choice for adding height and texture to an arrangement, and (as you’ll see below) are more than capable of standing on their own in a bouquet or centerpiece. Find them here, in twelve different colors plus a Farm Mix package. Scroll on for a bit of inspiration on how to incorporate these lovely blooms into your floral look–including a few arrangements put together by past FiftyFlowers DIY brides!

FiftyFlowers Spotlight: Spring Snapdragons

Sources: All-white bridesmaid’s bouquet, Aisle arrangement with sunflowers, Light pink boutonniere, Centerpiece with Roses and Pittosporum (a FiftyFlowers bride!), Rainbow Snapdragon bouquet, Burgundy and peach bouquet, Cascading bouquet with Hanging Amaranthus, Simple centerpiece with Baby’s Breath (another FiftyFlowers DIY success!).

Though they are available year-round on our site, they’re a particularly fitting choice for Spring ceremonies! On average, each snapdragon stem is about 15 inches long upon arrival, though you will need to trim a bit of that off before allowing them to rehydrate. They can have a bit of a natural curve to their stem–particularly towards the top–though this lends a fun, whimsical quality to them!
