Searching for ways to take your floral arrangement to the next level? Consider DIYing your very own citrus filled vase! This DIY project is easy to recreate and takes little to no time. It’s a great way to dress up your flowers, no matter the occasion.
For this look, we created a citrus-inspired arrangement made up of carnations, roses, spray roses, ranunculus, greenery, and mini button poms.
Here’s what you’ll need to make your citrus vase:
- Two fresh oranges
- Two clear vases (We used a 9.5-inch tall vase with a 4.5-inch width and a 7-inch tall vase with a 3.5-inch width.)
- Your choice of fresh flowers
- Fresh water
1. Prep Your Fruit
Slice your oranges (or choice of citrus fruit), about 1/4 inches thick. It took about two oranges to fill our vase, however, the number of oranges depends on the size of your vase.
2. Add in Your Fruit
Place your smaller vase into the larger vase. You’ll want to make sure there’s enough space in between the vases for your orange slices. Begin adding the slices into the gap; you can use a butter knife to slide them around. Once you’re satisfied with the placements of your slices, finish by adding water to the smaller vase.
3. Finish the Look With Flowers
Complete the look with a pre-arranged bouquet or with your DIY arrangement and adjust as needed!
