Manzanita – New Flower product for FiftyFlowers

written by Marina December 23, 2010

FiftyFlowers just introduced a new flower product that would be great for any centerpiece or table arrangement and great for a DIY bride who wants to let her creativity flow. The Manzanita Branches come in three different sizes and without or with leaves so the possibilities are endless.

I was looking at a blog from realsimple.com, Simply Stated, in which they did a post about Manzanita centerpieces, and the pictures are absolutely amazing! There are so many ways to decorate Manzanita branches, you can decide how easy or complex you want to be. The branches can be left natural or painted and you can put just about anything onto the branches such as flowers, tea lights or Christmas lights, crystals or beads, or even birds or butterflies. The decorated Manzanita in the picture below is from designer Michelle Rago and is featured in the Simply Stated blog, along with many others, so check out that post to get your creativity flowing. Then, when you’re ready to order your Manzanita branches head to FiftyFlowers.com.

MrsMaroo- you have several options here- 1. Most silk flowers have a small round hole in their centers- you can easily string several of them together to create a more “ruffled” and full look, then either loop them over the branches or hotglue them on where you like in clusters. 2. You can use a thin-Gauge floral wire and create more dynamic textures. 3. You can also use glue “dots” to attach individual flowers for a more Asian “cherry blossom” feel.

Great idea! I would suggest that you try wire to attach the bigger flowers! Good Luck!
