Pantone Ultra Violet

Yesterday, Pantone named Ultra Violet as its Color of the Year 2018! Pantone describes the color as such: “A dramatically provocative and thoughtful purple shade, PANTONE 18-3838 Ultra Violet communicates originality, ingenuity, and visionary thinking that points us toward the future.

Each year Pantone actively searches for inspiration for the color of the year and it is always symbolic of the age we’re living in. Leatrice Eiseman, Executive Director of the Pantone Color Institute, said of their selection, “The Pantone Color of the Year has come to mean so much more than ‘what’s trending’ in the world of design; it’s truly a reflection of what’s needed in our world today.”

There’s no doubt Ultra Violet will become a highly sought out wedding color because it is so versatile and complimentary! You can expect to see Ultra Violet paired with neutrals such as greenery (Color of the Year 2017), which is always a natural combo. Ultra Violet can be used in your decor, bridesmaid dresses, and flowers! With a diverse selection of purple flowers (both natural and tinted), you’re bound to find a style that fits your needs. You can find our purple selection here!  For an elegant monochromatic look, use a variation of purple shades of all different textures.
