Red, White and Blue Centerpieces for the 4th

In yesterday’s email from Michaels there were several 4th of July inspired projects, which is next Saturday by the way, so as we get ready to celebrate our Independence Day and my birthday (yes, I am a firecracker baby), I wanted to share with you my favorite project. And it’s totally do-able if you have just a few spare hours this weekend! So, let’s get to it…

Red, White and Blue Mason Jar Centerpieces

This project is great for beginners and should only take about an hour, plus dry time!


You Will Need:

– 3 Wide-Mouth Quart Size Mason Jars

– Red, White and Blue Paint – Michaels suggests the┬áMartha Stewart brand Multi-Surface Satin Acrylic Craft Paint in Habanero, Wedding Cake and Indigo.

– Paint Brush or Sponge

– Sand Paper or some Steel Wool

– Flowers! Get some stems that will last forever at Michaels or get fresh flowers from FiftyFlowers or locally at a grocery store or florist.
