Some ideas for flower centerpieces.

Alright, so it is time to decorate the venue! Many brides have made a lot of research and have a pretty good idea of what they want their reception to look like when they reach this stage. One of the critical parts of the decoration is the centerpieces. Centerpieces are important because they add a special touch to your reception area and to the overall feeling you want to incorporate to your affair.

Nowadays, centerpieces have evolved and can be made out of almost anything. Of course, arrangements made out of flowers are still the most popular, but brides can also use candles, marbles, and sand as part of their centerpieces for a truly special look. The popular new trends for this year include submerged orchids in round vases, roses and fruits mixed together in colorful arrangements, candles on top of fresh rose petals, giant hydrangeas and curly willow with votive candles hanging from them and even gerbera daisies resting on top of sand for a beach themed wedding.  As you can see, everything goes!

Also think about what types of flowers will be available when your event takes place. Some flowers that tend to be available only in a specific time of the year have higher prices and are very hard to get when they are not in season. Such flowers include French tulips, Peonies and Anemones just to name a few. If you really have your heart set in one of these flowers and they are not available, you can use close substitutions as Garden roses for the Peonies as well as standard Tulips for French ones. When planning, make sure to check with your florist or with an online flower boutique if such flowers are available; they might be able to get the flowers from other parts of the world and this way they ensure availability.

Keep in mind though that the cost of centerpieces for a wedding can vary greatly. Big arrangements created by florists, made out of expensive flowers such as peonies and orchids can reach sky rocket prices. However, smaller and simpler arrangements made by the bride, with flowers that are available year round can be more accommodating in terms of price. Before choosing the centerpiece you want, make sure that you know how much you are willing to spend on them. This way, you can work in a price range and get the most out of your money.  Consider also that the online vendors offer brides interesting products and options with affordable prices that will save time, money and stress: already made centerpieces!

Centerpieces will help you achieve the look you want for your wedding decorations.  Special flowers and unique arrangements will make your event magical.  Go with your taste and your dreams, and enjoy the reception!
