If you are a DIY bride, you could think of Thirty Day Dash as your fairy godmothers… they basically help you get sh*t done, from day-of decor set up and breakdown to day-of coordination, they even offer DIY project support and craft party packages. Yup, they will come help you with your DIY projects! Whaaaat?! Currently they are located in Texas, in Austin, Dallas/Fort-Worth, Houston, and San Antonio, but they hope to expand to cities all over the country. I, personally, am rooting for Boise by Fall of next year, since I am planning a DIY wedding of my own…fingers crossed! 😉
Colleen, owner and founder of Thirty Day Dash, started this business on the concept that DIY brides are superstars, but only human, and everyone can use some help now and again, especially the month of the wedding. Thirty Day Dash is “a company that embraces and encourages individual creativity. A company that respects a brides’ decision to be smart with her money… A company that provides day-of and DIY support services so every bride – regardless of budget – can afford the luxury of enjoying her wedding.”
In many ways, Thirty Day Dash and FiftyFlowers are a lot alike, just trying to help DIY Brides have the wedding of their dreams on a budget that works for them. But not everyone agrees with or likes this idea. Colleen says she got a lot of push back from the wedding community at first. “People didn’t like that I was encouraging brides to DIY verses hire a professional. But the fact is, DIY brides are going to DIY regardless; it’s just in their crafty, savvy nature (take it from a former DIY bride). So why not do what we can to help these extraordinary couples enjoy the experience! After all, this is still someone’s wedding day. A budget shouldn’t – and doesn’t – determine the worth of a couples celebration of love. So for all those DIY, budget-smart, crafty and creative couples, Thirty Day Dash was founded and fights for YOU!”
Well said Colleen… We totally agree! 🙂
Well, this post has turned into more about who Thirty Day Dash is, which is great because all DIY brides should get to know them and encourage the push for them to expand! But back to what the title says… in the latest issue of The Weekly Dash Newsletter, there is an interview with our CEO and Founder, Liza! Take a look at the interview here to learn more about FiftyFlowers and while you’re at it, you can see what else is going on over at Thirty Day Dash!
Until Next Time!
