  • The Wedding Planner (full-service): is someone who will be with you every step of the way. They’re very organized and informative. They’ll take care of the small details (that are often overlooked) and help you stay within your budget. Although hiring a wedding planner is an additional cost, they’re especially helpful if you’re planning a destination wedding, or if you’re getting married locally, they’ll know the ins and outs of the wedding industry in your area!
  • The Day-of Coordinator: is someone who helps you orchestrate everything on the actual day of the wedding. They make sure your wedding day goes by smoothly and can take care of any issue that may arise during the event. Hiring a “day-of” coordinator is perfect for those who planned their wedding, but just need professional help on the day of. He/she can assist you by coordinating a timeline with the vendors, managing decoration set-up and take-down and more! Most of the time, our family members and friends are recruited to help with stressful wedding tasks and aren’t able to enjoy the wedding, so hiring a coordinator can help.

If hiring a wedding planner or a day-of coordinator is not an option, don’t worry! There are a ton of wedding websites that offer free resources such as, checklists, budgeter, a list of local vendors, and more! The Knot, for example, offers a great app that helps you stay organized and has a ton of information. Pinterest is another great resource as well (check out the checklist below)! There are also ways to cut the cost in order to have enough to hire professional help. Buying wholesale flowers is one of them! 😉
