Eclectic Autumn Garden Dream

Jessica Cohron (Bride) Dallas, TX
Our Arrangements included the following... 1 6ft wide ceremony arch 4 large ceremony pieces (two at the base of the arch and two at the start of the aisle) 1 Bridal bouquet 1 Groom boutonniere 6 large table centerpieces 6 small table centerpieces Getting married during COVID drastically changed some things during the planning process, as it did for most people, but I am glad that I made our wedding happen. We got ready at an Airbnb in Dallas, had the ceremony at the Dallas Arboretum (my favorite place in the city) and had the reception at a cool cocktail lounge called The Botanist). After looking at some florists initially, I realized that the extra thousands of dollars it would've cost me ... to be a little more stress free was not worth it. So I decided to do them myself. With the exception of the arch, my mother, sister and I did all the arrangements and my bouquet the night before and completed the arch the morning of. I would recommend starting sooner than that because I only got about 4 hours of sleep. That was rough! If you use wet floral foam, arrangements can definitely be made 2 days prior to the wedding, depending on when they are delivered and as long as the flowers have had ample time to open up. I ended up going with colors that blended with the season, environment, and our hair ha ha (I have red hair and he has some red in his beard). Our main colors were green and gold - his suit was a deep green and all the décor was gold. So for accents I went with ivory, brownish-orange, and pinky-peach tones. We ended up having to substitute one of our flowers that was not available. The flower that we ended up getting was an autumn mix of kangaroo paw, with dark red, orange, and yellow hues. The texture and structure of this underrated flower were really fun and interesting and it ended up being a nice addition. My experience with fifty flowers was great, communication was good and there are a lot of options and various price points so you are bound to find something to fit your needs. Just do your research, watch a few YouTube tutorials, practice, and you are sure to love the final outcome! Show more

Flowers Used for Jessica Cohron's Arrangements

Lizzy Peachy Pink Champagne Wholesale Carnations Up close
Used for: Centerpieces , Bridal Bouquet, Other

I was never a huge fan of carnations but I needed a cheap flower that fit into my color palette. I ended up loving them by the end of the arranging process. They were really pretty with everything else.

Wedding greenery salal lemon leaf
Used for: Centerpieces , Bridal Bouquet, Other

I had alot of this leftover (I think I only used half), it takes up more space than you think which is great especially if you are on a budget.

Wedding greenery italian ruscus filler flower sold as bulk

Italian Ruscus Greenery ( 10 bunches )

Used for: Centerpieces , Bridal Bouquet, Boutonnieres, Other

This was a great green, sturdy, and I had just enough for everything.

Used for: Bridal Bouquet, Other

Very delicate flower and they will shed easily so be careful when you work with it. Delphinium are my favorite flowers so I had to include them!

Used for: Centerpieces , Bridal Bouquet

Fun element and tied in the colors if flowers.

Used for: Centerpieces , Bridal Bouquet, Other

I needed a larger filler flower that was orange and cheap and had a unique shape. This was perfect, I wasn't sure if I was going to like them but they turned out really nice.

Bulk Explosion Grass ( 5 bunches )

Used for: Other

This filler was so much fun and gave depth and life to the arrangement. However, I only had enough to use in the arch. I should've ordered 4 times as much as I did so I could've used it in the other arrangements as well!

Magnolia Greenery ( 8 bunches )

Used for: Other

Used this mainly for the ceremony decorations. The brownish-orange undersides of the leaves played nicely with the colors of the flowers.

White Majolica Spray Roses Wholesale
Used for: Centerpieces , Bridal Bouquet, Boutonnieres, Other

I absolutely loved these spray roses, especially their gold center. After they have opened up, you can remove a few of the inner petals to better show the center off. I did this so some had exposed centers and some didn't.

Creamy White Garden Roses up close

Garden Rose Creamy White Blush ( 60 Garden Roses )

Used for: Centerpieces , Bridal Bouquet, Other

These smelled so stinkin good and opened up wonderfully. I loved the hint of pink/peach.

Seeded Eucalyptus flowers for Weddings
Used for: Centerpieces , Bridal Bouquet

I like the way this greenery laid, it has a cascading effect which broke up the stiffness of the other greens.

Fresh cut variegated pittosporum greens sold as bulk near me
Used for: Centerpieces , Bridal Bouquet, Other

The grayish green color and white edges of this green was the perfect way to break up the darker greenery I had.
