Elegant Country Home Wedding

My new husband, Liam and I got married on our horse farm on a very hot and very windy day in August! We were on a tight budget after having spent the entire summer prepping our land and yard to be able to host the wedding. We had initially purchased the land as a canola field and over the last few years had established several horse paddocks and eventually built a home.
After doing a lot of searching on the internet, I found exactly the kind of flowers I wanted for my wedding. My bridesmaids each wore a different pale color of dress and I was trying to go for a very soft, pale, elegant color scheme. I ended up buying a couple of flowers from a local shop to do a practice arrangement for my centerpieces. My sister told me to order online at FiftyFlowers as she had done so a couple years prior and said I would save a lot of money and the flowers were really nice. I live in a smaller city and the local flower shops were skeptical as to whether they could get lavender roses for me. They told me the particular ones that I had bought for my practice run had come in with other roses in a bundle so they weren't sure on their availability. This was not very reassuring as I had my mind set on these particular roses; so I turned to FiftyFlowers. I tallied up the numbers and realized I would get so many more flowers for the price and save a lot of money by purchasing from FiftyFlowers. I purchased white and lavender rose petals, baby's breath, lavender roses, and white hydrangeas. My mom had planted dusty miller earlier in the year for me so I added those to my centerpieces as well. I was surprised at how well the flowers looked when I opened up the boxes. On arrival, I immediately tended to the flowers and had them spread out in numerous cool locations throughout the house, making sure to keep them in an area where my cats couldn't get to them (they love baby's breath!!) I am not a flower person at all (love them but never remember to water them) but nevertheless, I followed the flower care instructions on the website and they looked absolutely stunning on the day of my wedding. I had so many compliments!! My sister and I put together 19 centerpieces for the tables and 2 taller centerpieces for my dad's memorial table. My mother in law put together the flowers for the cake and arranged the remaining flowers on the arbor we got married under. I can't believe how beautiful they looked and the fact that I made them myself. My only regret is not buying more and doing the bouquets myself!! THANK YOU FIFTYFLOWERS!!
