DIY Wedding Flowers Florida Flamingos

When Lauren told me she wanted a remote, destination wedding at a resort that features natural Florida alligators and snakes-far removed from civilization, I panicked! I found the perfect solution for our flowers within our budget...Fifty Flowers! I had never arranged flowers before and immediately researched every site on the internet. When the flowers arrived on Wednesday, I had high anxiety! The calm assurance from the staff and their step by step direction made all the difference. I hydrated the flowers and stored them overnight in a bedroom with cold air conditioning...it's Florida! Our buckets of flowers travelled well the next day and the resort valet brought them to our suite. The secret was starting with one of FiftyFlowers centerpieces, adding a hydrangea, three Ecuadorian roses, a peony, and a few filler flowers. Voila! With renewed confidence, our assembly line made three boutonnieres, a memorial bouquet and six rehearsal dinner centerpieces complete with candy flamingos. We tackled the bridal bouquet last. The Ecuadorian roses used were hydrated overnight and received a quick snip and the application of a bling bouquet cover which completed the look. Saturday afternoon, we tied tulle (cut from an old dress) to the chairs with our versatile hydrangea. The event planner sprinkled the aisle with the rose petals right before the wedding party danced down the aisle! The quality of the flowers for our memorable weekend were spectacular! Thanks FiftyFlowers!
