Masonic Memorial

This wedding venue was in Alexandria, Virginia at the George Washington Masonic Memorial. The table settings included not only a place setting and many glasses but a wine bucket with three bottles of wine as well family style food placement. The flowers needed to be contained yet elegant as the venue was very grand and the tables crowded. The bride's favorite flowers are tulips which in itself are difficult to work with. We chose three different size cylinder vases and placed three white tulips in each case along with clear florist flat marbles. The vases were placed on the tables in clusters of three different heights. The bridal bouquet and the maid of honor carried simple poises of white tulips wrapped in white satin ribbon.
Tulips can be difficult to work with, they continue to grow even after they are cut. They also have a mind of their own. Taking this into account we had to make allowances, all the flowers except the posies had to be cut a few inches shorter than we wanted and hope for the best. The best it was, everything turned out exactly, maybe even better, than we anticipated.
As usual, the consultants at Fifty Flowers were wonderful to work with. I contacted them so many times that I was afraid they were going to red flag my email address. We have another wedding in January and I will wait a few months before I start bothering Fifty Flowers again.
This is my third experience working with this company. I can not say enough wonderful things about them.
