New England Mountain Wedding

Kate Bergeron (Bride) LACONIA, NH
We were married in June on the top of Gunstock Mountain in Gilford, New Hampshire and had a small lakeside reception in my husband's parents backyard. We always knew we would tackle a few larger projects, and the flowers were at the top of my list. We had the best time arranging the flowers with a small army of family and friends. Loved our experience with FiftyFlowers! I am so, so glad we decided to go this route. If you are crafty and have a few people to help you, don't be afraid to tackle this project! (Just make sure you have tons of 5 gallon buckets. You will need them!) One thing: we also ordered a few flowers not captured in the above order, because I ordered additional flowers separately ... from FiftyFlowers.  Show more

Flowers Used for Kate Bergeron's Arrangements

Exactly as advertised. Plentiful and hearty. These carnations are a great filler flower. We used these on a photo prop wall we built and interspersed also throughout garlands we made.

Used for: Other, Centerpieces

The Freesia was also a great choice; different shape than other flowers we selected, so they were great in the bud vases.

Senorita Blush Roses ( 50 Roses )

Used for: Centerpieces , Other

These were another last minute purchase because I was afraid we would run out of flowers (that was incorrect). We put these roses everywhere! They have a slight green tinge on the outer layer. We used these in the flower photo wall we built.

Italian Ruscus Greenery ( 10 bunches )

Used for: Other

Italian Ruscus made amazing garlands!

Bupleurum Flowering Greenery ( 15 bunches or 150 stems )

Used for: Centerpieces , Bridal Bouquet, Other

We picked bupleurum after learning seeded eucalyptus was unavailable... Bupleurum was the perfect substitute! Wild and intricate, with a brighter green color, bupleurum is a great greenery. In addition to the centerpieces, Bupleurum looked awesome mixed into the garlands we made of Isreali Ruscus.

Thistle Green Flower ( 50 stems )

Used for: Centerpieces

Green Thistle Flowers added a lovely texture to the centerpieces.

These were gorgeous. There is a reason so many brides give this rose 5 stars!! These garden roses are the perfect peach color.

Used for: Centerpieces

Ok, these flowers are so so so beautiful, but also very fragile. There were probably 10 or so we could not use at all. Even still, I would recommend getting this flower. The various shades ranged from a solid pink to a light peach with yellow hues. Beautiful!

El Aleli Hues of Pink Flower ( 5 Bunches or 50 Stems )

Used for: Centerpieces , Bridal Bouquet

These were a last minute purchase, and one of my favorites! I LOVED these. They had a different shape than the rest of the flowers I selected, and came in handy for the vases we had hanging in the reception area. They also were a lilac-tinged pink color... really lovely.

Used for: Centerpieces

Loved the Queen Anne's lace! Like the Bupleurum and the Green Thistle Glower, Queen Anne's lace added extra texture. Truly lovely!

Used for: Centerpieces

These spray roses were plentiful. A bit lighter in color than i expected--a super soft pink--but they were hearty and a nice accent flower.

Deep Peach Garden Rose ( 36 Garden Roses )

Used for: Other

Southern Comfort Peach Garden Roses were not available, so the review is actually of the substitute flower, which were 36 of the Deep Peach Garden Rose. They were a beautiful substitute, but they were the first to die. They looked great for the wedding though! Grateful for the Fifty Flowers representative who suggested we pick the Deep Peach Garden Rose instead. Looked so lovely in the garlands we created for the bar area.

peonies were off-the-charts beautiful
