During the planning process, we realized that a 'traditional' wedding didn't feel like us or our relationship. Instead, we wanted our wedding to be intimate and adventurous, so we could spend the day focusing on us and creating unforgettable memories. With this in mind, we eloped at Rocky Mountain National Park in June 2019 surrounded by only a dozen of our nearest and dearest.
However, we also knew that we wanted to celebrate with ALL of our friends and family back home by drinking, eating, and dancing late into the night. So, to celebrate our newlywed status and announce it to the world, we planned a reception in Northern Michigan, and thankfully, FiftyFlowers helped make our non-traditional, private estate, the post-elopement celebration just as beautiful as our mountaintop nuptials. I was nervous at first to use a wholesaler, as we were planning a very minimalist, boho-modern aesthetic. So if the flowers were terrible, there would be no hiding it, but instead, the selection was amazing, the customer service was top-notch, and the flowers were all show-stoppers.
