The Inn At Fogg Farm 1769, Gray, Maine

Three years ago, I did the Coastal Americana wedding on the Ferryboat in Casco Bay Maine for my girlfriend Shirley's niece. This July 21, 2018, I created flowers for Shirley's youngest daughter, Kim and her fiancé, Alex. The bride picked a green and lavender color theme. With a limited budget, Violet convinced me to go with the wedding combo pack to get more flowers for my money. I chose white hydrangea, lavender roses, baby's breath and for greens I selected tree fern and boxwood. We also ordered lovely lilac peruvian lilies and white spray roses. My gift to the bride was the ocean song lavender roses and the white height centerpiece pack. The delivery was a challenge. Tuesday the Peruvian
lily arrived, Wednesday the ocean song lavender roses and the combo pack arrived. I accidentally also received white wax flowers that were shipped with the same order number as my box with greens. FiftyFlowers said I could keep them...but what I really had hoped to arrive was my white height centerpiece pack, which was delayed until Thursday. Too bad, the extra day without water hurt some of the blooms. Three of the flower varieties arrived in decent condition, but the bells of Ireland had some bent stems, and the larkspur was losing blooms pretty badly by Friday. The hydrangea arrived Thursday, spectacular as usual. Once again, Shirley, the mother of the bride, supplied lots of helpers. Even the flower girls enjoyed creating flower arrangements. The long tables in the barn were set with burlap table runners and four arrangements each made up of log slices and tin cans, which I decorated with Lincrusta wallpaper. Each girl got a table and a pale of flowers. I told them that they needed to cut and add greens first in all of the vases, then baby's breath, and continue adding the flowers to vases until their pail was empty of flowers. What fun they had. With these flowers, I was able to make big arrangements for the gift table, bar, and other display areas, along with the girls bouquets (1 bride, 5 attendants, 3 flower girls, 2 nose gay bouquets for the moms), 3 corsages for grandmas, and 11 bouts for the guys. Each table had 4 tree slices with multiple cans, but since the cluster made up one centerpiece I'd say 4 x 12 tables=48 centerpieces, plus 5 big 5 lb can centerpieces. Leftover flowers were used at the outdoor wedding location...swag on the pergola and pails of flowers by the back aisle chairs. The flowers turned out great and the weather was perfect. A gorgeous day and a very fun wedding.
