The Stewart Wedding- Dinosaurs And Vows

Shauna Gifford (Bride) Marietta, GA
Our "how we met" story is a little complicated, so the short version goes like this: We knew each other in high school and we knew all the same people, but we never thought to date until hanging with a mutual friend (also known from high school) until a summer break after my freshman year in college. We were "high-five central" and realized we were better off as just friends and went our separate ways. Eight years later, we met again on new years. (Thanks to another mutual high school friend.) After going through kind of a personal rough patch, it was easily the best year New Years I've ever had. After much catching up with our circle of friends, Jordan and I soon realized we were always just ... around the corner from one another in those eight years. Somehow, the night leads up to a small hole-in-the-wall type bar with a Foosball Table. Throughout the night we laughed, we drank, we made a bet on Foosball--and I kicked his butt. Long story short, he proposed to me a little over two years later. We knew we wanted to celebrate our friends and family in a special way for our wedding and our vendor team and venue allowed us to make this possible. (A little backstory, my mother wore my grandmother's gown when she was married. We wanted to restore the entire dress but we could only restore the top half and even then, some areas call for a complete redesign. The sleeves were the original design with original buttons.) The colors were peach and navy. My grandmother's colors were peach. Both weddings for my parents and Jordan's parents were blue.) The bouquets were a combination of my bridesmaids (my best friends and sister in law) favorite flowers: Tulips, Gerbera Daisies, Peonies, and Anemones. (We also used garden roses, as these were my favorite and also the flowers used by my grandmother and mother.) Fernbank Museum of Natural History holds a special place for Jordan, myself, and our friends. This was a common field trip destination. (I'll admit, I always had an affinity for dinosaurs growing up in the days of the movie "We're back!" (my favorite) along with the original Jurassic Park movies and Land Before Time. Fernbank had much to offer in both substance and beauty and I couldn't be happier with our venue. We plan to visit each anniversary and it will be a great place to take our family in the future.) Flowers Used for Shauna Gifford's Arrangements

Used for: Centerpieces

Absolutely beautiful. The hydrangea bunches were large and great fillers for the center piece arrangements. (We used individual stems from several "ready-made" arrangements and ordered individual stem combinations in addition to design our own looks.)

Chrysal Floral Care Kit ( Chrysal Floral Care Kit )

An absolute must have if you are caring for your own flowers leading up to the wedding.

White Bulk Tulips ( 20 tulips )

Used for: Bridesmaid's Bouquets , Bridal Bouquet

I only rated a 4 because the stems were very fragile and I had to account for this when both placing the arrangements and using wire and taping my bouquets. I think it was more of a tulip issue than a quality issue if I recall my previous experience with tulips. The turned out to be beautiful and can be used in a variety of arrangements! (They were also one of the longest lasting flowers, which surprised me. Though I will say all of the arrangements lasted a good bit longer than we expected. Family kept them in their homes after the wedding and returned the vases to me when done.) I used each of my bridesmaids favorite flower to design our bouquets. The tulip was my (now) sister in law's favorite.

Used for: Bridesmaid's Bouquets

These were stunning. I used each of my bridesmaids favorite flower to design our bouquets. This was my made of honor's favorite and quickly became one of mine. I also used for some of my smaller arrangements/centerpieces.

Peach Gerbera Daisy ( 20 Gerber Daisies )

Used for: Bridal Bouquet, Bridesmaid's Bouquets

For my bouquet and my bridesmaid's bouquets, I wanted to incorporate each of our favorite flowers, so I chose one of each favorite and combined with my favorite (roses). My Matron of Honor loves daisies and these peach gerberas turned out exactly as pictured and stood strong and beautifully. (We had a few separate orders. We also purchases, white anemones, white tulips, and white/cream peonies. It called for a unique yet beautiful bouquet with special meaning.)

Peach Fresh Roses ( 25 Roses (Allow 4 Business days for delivery) )

Used for: Bridesmaid's Bouquets , Bridal Bouquet

I used each of my bridesmaids favorite flower to design our bouquets. The rose happens to be my favorite. The peach made for a perfect pop of color.

Perfectly Peach Rustic Centerpiece ( 12 Premium Centerpieces )

Used for: Centerpieces , Bridal Bouquet, Bridesmaid's Bouquets

We ordered the ready made centerpieces however rearranged along with individual stems purchases in bulk to design our own look.

These worked beautifully as accents to our centerpieces. (We used either a short or tall arrangement for each table as the focal point for our centerpieces and added the submerged orchids as accents to some of the table centerpieces and throughout the reception space. They complimented our centerpiece arrangements wonderfully. If purchasing ready made centerpieces, I highly recommend purchasing the optional vases as a package with those pieces. You can't beat the value and I am now ready to re-use them for my maid of honor's upcoming wedding as well.

Snow White Flower Centerpiece ( 12 Jumbo Centerpieces )

Used for: Centerpieces , Bridal Bouquet, Bridesmaid's Bouquets , Boutonnieres

We ordered the ready-made centerpieces however rearranged along with individual stems purchases in bulk to design our own look.

Used for: Centerpieces

I used each of my bridesmaids favorite flower to design our bouquets. This was my friend Tesa's favorite. In my photos, you will notice they all weren't fully bloomed by the time of the wedding. I only ordered these 3 days out so be sure to account for that if you want them fully open. (Note: the stems were very long out of the box, so if you need to speed the process, you can begin cutting the very end of the stem down by about 0.5-1 inch at a time or move them to a slightly warmer area. I did this for the peonies I used in my centerpiece arrangements but refrained from this in my bouquets because of the other flowers in the bouquets--I arranged those first thing.) All in all, absolutely beautiful and I will certainly order these in the future.
