Bulk Roses are shipped directly from our farms to your doorstep. Before shipping your flowers, we prepare them for their journey with proper hydration methods. If your flowers appear sleepy and thirsty after their journey, it is absolutely NORMAL. Just follow these simple steps to ensure your flowers have the proper care.

Tip: Wear protective gloves while handling your roses. Thorns may be present and tinted roses can stain hands and clothing.

  1. When your boxes arrive, it is important to get your flowers in water as quickly as possible.
  2.  Remove roses from box by cutting any straps. Do not remove the cardboard sleeve that is holding the roses together in a bunch. It is recommended to leave the cardboard sleeve on for 4 to 8 hours while the roses hydrate and then remove once well hydrated. Remove all plastic packaging and rubber bands.
  3. Inspect your flowers.*
  4. Gather clean buckets, vases, or containers for your flowers. Ensure your buckets, vases containers are very clean. We recommend rinsing them with warm water.
  5. Fill the buckets or containers with at least 4 inches of fresh, cool water. If flower food is available, follow the package directions for adding it to the water.
  6. Remove any foliage from the flowers that falls below the waterline of your containers. When removing foliage, care should be taken to not damage the stem. Removing any foliage that falls below the waterline will help prevent the  growth of mold or bacteria which could cause premature wilting.
  7. Cut stems diagonally under running water using clean, sharp flower shears or scissors. Cut approximately 1 inch from the bottom of the stem. Immediately after cutting, place the stems in the prepared water.
  8. Ensure that you have sufficient room in each container for the amount of stems you will be storing. Overcrowding may cause damage to flowers and effect proper blooming.
  9. Allow the roses at least 4 hours to hydrate well. It can take up to 8 to 12 hours to properly hydrate. If you see that some flowers are still drooping after 3-4 hours, it it  possible an air bubble has formed in the stem.  Re-cut following the above directions.
  10. Keep flowers in a cool, dark location away from direct sunlight, drafts, or extreme temperatures and heat.
  11. To keep your flowers fresh, change the water every 24 to 48 hours or when the water becomes cloudy. The water will change color if the roses are tinted.. Simply change water as directed. Ensure that your flowers have sufficient water at all times. They will drink an exceptionally large amount of water upon arrival.
  12. We ship our roses with guard petals intact in order to protect the rose during shipping. Upon removal of the protective cardboard packaging, carefully pluck off any brown or discolored guard petals. It is not uncommon to remove an average of 5-10 petals per rose.
Remember that exposing flowers  to warm temperatures will help the flower to bloom, and storing your flowers in a cooler environment will slow down the blooming process.

*Note: Our roses are packed 25 stems per bunch. Looking at the bunch from above it will appear as if there are only 12 roses. Our roses are packed in layers to ensure protection during shipping. Below the first layer is a second layer which hold the other 13 rose stems. If you are unsure, count the STEMS instead of the rose heads and you will see there are 25 per bunch.

*If upon first inspection, you foresee a problem with your flowers, do not proceed processing your order. Leave the flowers intact in the box and call us immediately at 1-877-50 ROSES (507-6737

These flowers arrived perfectly on Wednesday for a Saturday wedding. I left them in the cardboard, trimmed them back about 1.5 inches and removed any leaves that would be hitting the water line, and then put them in buckets of water with plant food. On Thursday afternoon, I emptied out the buckets and drove about two hours to the hotel to begin prepping for the weekend. When I arrived at the hotel, I removed the cardboard, trimmed back any remaining leaves, and placed them back into more water with plant food. They immediately began opening up. On Thursday night, my bridesmaids and I began putting together our centerpieces (with the Sophie Light Pink Rose, cream roses and babys breath) and bouquets. The bridesmaids all had cream roses and babys breath, and my bouquet had this flower, the Sophie Light Pink Rose, cream roses and the babys breath. The bouquets and centerpieces were easy to assemble and I couldn't be happier with how everything turned out. Totally worth a few hours of labor (maybe took 3-4 hours total) and was blown away by the quality of the flowers for what I paid.

Loved these well worth the money! I needed a dark lavender to go with my purple wedding, I was a little nervous by the name 'blue curiosa' however they worked great. So glad I didn't judge a book by the cover on this one!

English Garden Afternoon Tea Roses

Ordered Cream and Pink flowers with baby's breath filler and leather leaf. Flowers arrived in perfect condition! This is my second timer ordering and I couldn't be happier. I was hosting an English Garden Afternoon Tea and all of my guests were very impressed with the centerpieces. I highly recommend Fifty Flowers!

Gorgeous DIY Wedding Flowers

I recently got married in October at a brewery in Clearwater, FL. This was the best day of my life. So stress free, relaxing, and fun! I am a DIY-er at heart and wanted to create all of my own wedding flower arrangements and bouquets. I was of course nervous to order these flowers and considered hiring a florist, but at the end of it all, I am 100% thrilled with how everything turned out. My Mother, Mother-In-Law, two sisters, and best friend and I got together the night before the wedding, drank wine, and put together all of our arrangements. All of these flowers went so far! They looked great and were very sturdy. The next day we placed everything at the brewery and then it was go time! So many people came up to me at the reception and asked, "Who did your flowers?" I proudly said, "WE DID!!" Thanks, Fifty Flowers for all of your help, your wonderful customer service, and your top quality flowers!

FiftyFlowers was PERFECT!!

We ordered the powder pink garden roses, cream vendela roses, blue curiosa roses, and "Lovely" mini cymbidium orchids. Everything turned out beautifully! The powder pink garden roses smelled so good! I would highly recommend FiftyFlowers to other brides. The flowers we did looked WAY better than the ceremony decor that our venue's florist did. I really regret not using FiftyFlowers for all of our wedding flowers, and I'm pretty sure we would have been devastated if the florist from our venue did all our flowers! FiftyFlowers was PERFECT! I am so glad we used FiftyFlowers for all that we did: the centerpieces, bouquets, boutonnieres, and mini table arrangements. It takes a bit of work and research, but it is so worth it to get the beautiful, quality flowers from FiftyFlowers and do it yourself!
