White Freesia Flower

Wholesale Prices | Delivered Fresh

White Freesia Flowers bring romance to any arrangement. Freesia features several bell-shaped blooms daintily perched atop a long, viridian stem. While each of these blooms may not have as many petals as our Designer Freesia, this petite flower adds a gentler touch. In fact, it's best use is in simple arrangements. For example, pair with burgundy kiss white wax flower for a pristine, classic look.

Caring for Your Freesia

Our flowers are shipped fresh directly from our farms to your doorstep. When you first open the box, your flowers might appear "sleepy" or "thirsty," which is completely normal. These flowers have just completed an international journey and need water. Following the important care and preparation steps below will help rehydrate them and ensure they last as long as possible.

Flower Care Steps – From Arrival to Arrangement

Step 1: Unpack and Inspect

  • Unpack and Inspect: Cut any straps to remove flowers from the box, but leave their protective packaging on for the first 4 hours of hydration. As you unpack, check your blooms for any visible concerns.

  • Process Immediately: Begin the steps below immediately upon opening the box to ensure your flowers rehydrate and recover from their journey.

Step 2: Prepare the Containers

  • Choose Clean Buckets or Vases: Ensure your containers are clean and sanitized to remove soap residue, bacteria, and dirt, which can shorten flower life.

  • Fill Containers: Add at least 4 inches of cool, fresh water, and mix in flower food if available.

Step 3: Trim and Place in Water

  • Remove Foliage Below the Waterline: Strip leaves that will fall below the waterline to prevent mold or bacteria growth.

  • Cut Stems Correctly: Use clean, sharp floral shears to cut stems diagonally about 1 inch from the bottom. Avoid household scissors, as they pinch the stems and block water absorption.

  • Place and Space: Place the freshly cut stems into the prepared water immediately, ensuring enough space in each container to allow the flowers to bloom properly.

Step 4: Hydrate and Maintain

  • Hydration Time: Allow flowers at least 4 hours to hydrate, though 8 to 12 hours is ideal. After hydrating, remove protective packaging and guard petals (outer layers that may look bruised or brown).

  • Store in a Cool Place: Keep flowers in a cool, dark place away from direct sunlight, drafts, and heat. Avoid placing them in a refrigerator, as this can harm flowers.

  • Monitor Water Levels: Flowers drink heavily upon arrival, so check frequently to ensure all stems are always submerged. If the water drops below the stems, refill immediately and recut them before placing them back in the container.

Step 5: Time to Design

  • Ready to Arrange: After completing the hydration and processing steps above, your flowers are now ready for design.

  • Recut and Maintain: As you design, make sure to recut the stems and maintain water levels.

  • Refresh Regularly: Change water daily and recut stems every 24-48 hours to keep flowers fresh.

Tips from Our Experts

  • Always keep flower buds above the bucket or vase rim to prevent your blooms from bruising.

  • Warm environments speed up blooming, while cooler areas slow it down. Adjust storage as needed, but always avoid direct sunlight and excessive heat.

  • Use a floral finishing spray after arranging blooms to help them last longer.

Precautions

  • Tinted Flowers: Tinted flowers may release color into the water, which is perfectly normal. To keep the water clear and clean, be sure to change it regularly. Tinted water can also stain surfaces, so be cautious. The dye may transfer to skin or clothing, so we recommend wearing gloves while handling. For added protection, especially with clothing like a white wedding dress, wrap the stems to prevent dye from transferring.

My husband and I were married on October 13, 2018. When planning for flowers, I knew I needed REAL flowers. I checked out the local options and a few online. The help I received through my consultation was SO helpful. I know nothing about flowers so I was nervous that we wouldn't end up with enough for what I envisioned, but we actually had leftover! Thankfully, my family friends were able to help out with the flowers the day before. I had originally thought I would do it myself, but I don't know how I would have just because I was running out of time to do everything else! They said the flowers were great to work with and seemed in great condition. We stored them in vases and buckets in the commercial fridges that were available at our venue. I know nothing about flowers, but they looked SPECTACULAR and I couldn't have been happier.

Picture Perfect Rustic Elegance

**Please note that our photographer has yet to give us our photos, so these are pictures from my phone, and a couple that friends sent to me. For the sake of the competition, I wanted to share what I had, but if you are interested in having the professional photos, please reach out directly and I can share them as soon as I get them from our photographer.**

Matthew and I had been together for six years before he proposed, and then we had 14 months to plan our perfect wedding. From the beginning, my beau and I were on the same page about what we wanted the wedding to look and feel like, and I was in a unique position to bring our dreams to life. I work for myself, so I have time during the day. I also have a degree in theatre (and am part of a local theatre company here in DC), and put on a variety of different types of events for work (conferences, etc.), so designing my own wedding was a beautiful combination of my passion for and background in theatre and my career experience.

We wanted to celebrate our love of the outdoors and combine rustic elements like hand-carved farm tables and wildflowers with elegant pieces like antique silverplate compotes and hand-dyed napkins, tablecloths. My now-hudband is a graphic designer, so we designed all of our collateral (save the dates, invitations, table settings, table numbers, programs, etc.) using a Virginia wildflower theme. We also wanted to have a small environmental impact and used recycled glass jars for water and cocktail glasses and thrift store wine and champagne glasses, and composted our food leftovers. We saved an enormous amount of money by doing things ourselves, and the flowers were a huge part of that. The morning of the wedding, my bridesmaids, a cousin and I all gathered around a big farm table and put together the centerpieces. Each one was unique, celebrating the wild beauty of our surroundings (the country home of dear family friends), and the flowers from FiftyFlowers were spectacular. I made each boutonniere by hand, individually for my groom and each of his groomsmen.

It was an enormous amount of work, but everything turned out perfectly. Our wedding was an incredible showcase of our individual style and personal touches. Many of our guests told us that it was the most beautiful, personal wedding they had ever attended. I'm grateful for all of the personalized help from FiftyFlowers, and I would highly recommend FiftyFlowers to any bride!

Boho Rustic Fairytale

Alecia's vision for her wedding was an elegant boho theme with lots of mixed metals. She asked my longtime friend, Liz, who had worked for a florist many years ago to do her flowers, so we set out to create Alecia's vision. I knew nothing about flowers, so I spent several weekends researching websites and the availability of specific flowers she wanted. I was completely overwhelmed and terrified to take on the task of 9 bridesmaid bouquets, 9 boutonnieres, 5 corsages, 23 round tables plus the 26 seat head table, a grand staircase, the massive fireplace and the huge altar but YouTube proved to provide the education I needed. My husband built copper stands from Home Depot pipe and we cut 3-inches to make 18 copper cylinder vases. I created a spreadsheet based on internet information and when I finally hit the "check-out" button I thought - "what have I done?!". I have just spent $2,500 on flowers and have no clue what I'm doing! Because of the July 4th holiday - we had to order 300 stems 2 days earlier than desirable and I was terrified. I had to store buckets of flowers in Alicia's apartment refrigerator and the delicate astilbe survived perfectly. Cynthia from FiftyFlowers reached out to me to help answer questions and provide several replacements for flowers that weren't available at the last minute. She was "on it" and made me feel comfortable with the delivery dates and proper care. As you can see from the photos - they flowers were gorgeous! I'm thrilled we were able to pull it off even if we did spend 3 nights in a hotel room with the thermostat set at 60 degrees to keep flowers cool.

Amazing Flowers, Amazing Support

I am as far away from a green thumb as they come. My colleague and I decided to create our own centerpieces for an event we were doing at the Hard Rock Cafe. Rat Pack theme - giant martini glasses with water beads and lights ,roses and boa feathers. We purchased 250 roses from your company and your attention to detail and guidance along the way on how to keep the roses fresh, insured that those roses not only made it for the 2 days prior to the event but were used over and over for days following. The packaging and attention to detail was phenomenal.
This is the only place I will be buying my flowers from.

A Happy Florist

I purchased a bunch of these same anemones from my local wholesaler for a prior wedding and they were in such poor condition that I could not even use them. Having purchased flowers from Fifty Flowers prior, I was confident that the quality would be fine for my upcoming wedding where I needed many of them. These totally exceeded my expectations. As a florist I always expect some waste..bad or broken blossoms, stems, etc. especially with such a fragile flower as these. But much to my surprise, these came in absolutely gorgeous. They opened beautifully and looked amazing, not to mention they lasted well beyond the day of the wedding (I did have some extras). To say the least, I am beyond satisfied with my experience and will use Fifty Flowers in the future. The customer service I received with this order was impeccable as well! Thanks Fifty Flowers for making me a happy florist and my bride and her mom ecstatic!
