Package contents and prices are based on availability and may change due to weather and market conditions. If a substitution is necessary, we take great care to ensure your order closely matches your original flower choice, even if this means substituting flowers of higher value. While we will make every effort to contact you, there may be rare instances where we are unable to reach you in time. In such cases, we may proceed with substitutions to ensure your order ships on schedule, even without prior verbal confirmation.

Caring for Your Roses

Our flowers are shipped fresh directly from our farms to your doorstep. When you first open the box, your flowers might appear "sleepy" or "thirsty," which is completely normal. These flowers have just completed an international journey and need water. Following the important care and preparation steps below will help rehydrate them and ensure they last as long as possible.

Flower Care Steps – From Arrival to Arrangement

Step 1: Unpack and Inspect

  • Unpack and Inspect: Cut any straps to remove flowers from the box, but leave their protective packaging on for the first 4 hours of hydration. As you unpack, check your blooms for any visible concerns.

  • Process Immediately: Begin the steps below immediately upon opening the box to ensure your flowers rehydrate and recover from their journey. Again, don’t worry if they appear sleepy or thirsty—they will perk up beautifully with proper care.

Step 2: Prepare the Containers

  • Choose Clean Buckets or Vases: Ensure your containers are clean and sanitized to remove soap residue, bacteria, and dirt, which can shorten flower life.

  • Fill Containers: Add at least 4 inches of cool, fresh water, and mix in flower food if available.

Step 3: Trim and Place in Water

  • Remove Foliage Below the Waterline: Strip leaves that will fall below the waterline to prevent mold or bacteria growth.

  • Cut Stems Correctly: Use clean, sharp floral shears to cut stems diagonally about 1 inch from the bottom. Avoid household scissors, as they pinch the stems and block water absorption.

  • Place and Space: Place the freshly cut stems into the prepared water immediately, ensuring enough space in each container to allow the flowers to bloom properly.

Step 4: Hydrate and Maintain

  • Hydration Time: After the initial 4-hour hydration period, remove protective packaging, strip additional leaves and thorns (if applicable), and remove guard petals (outer layers that may look bruised or brown).

  • Re-cut and Space: Give your flowers another fresh cut and place them in your prepared buckets. You may need to spread your stems out into more buckets to give them even more room to bloom. It is important not to overcrowd your buckets. Allow your flowers to continue to hydrate for another 8 hours before beginning the design process.

  • Store in a Cool Place: Keep flowers in a cool, dark place away from direct sunlight, drafts, and heat. Avoid placing them in a refrigerator, as this can harm flowers.

  • Monitor Water Levels: Flowers drink heavily upon arrival, so check frequently to ensure all stems are always submerged. If the water drops below the stems, refill immediately and recut them before placing them back in the container.

Step 5: Time to Design

  • Ready to Arrange: After completing the hydration and processing steps above, your flowers are now ready for design.

  • Recut and Maintain: As you design, make sure to recut the stems and maintain water levels.

  • Refresh Regularly: Change water daily and recut stems every 24-48 hours to keep flowers fresh.

Tips from Our Experts

  • Always keep flower buds above the bucket or vase rim to prevent your blooms from bruising.

  • Warm environments speed up blooming, while cooler areas slow it down. Adjust storage as needed, but always avoid direct sunlight and excessive heat.

  • Use a floral finishing spray after arranging blooms to help them last longer.

Precautions

  • Thorns: Flowers with thorns require extra care. Wear gloves when handling them, and consider using a thorn stripping tool for added ease and safety.

First Timer DIY for a Forested Retreat

We looked at so many companies before deciding on FiftyFlowers. We wanted to save money so knew that we were going to DIY our flowers, despite our limited experience with flowers. The company was great! We had an initial consult call and told them what we wanted our budget to be at how realistic it was. The flowers came 4 days before our wedding. We followed all the instructions of the packages. We trimmed, designed, and let the flowers bloom all in our small apartment and watched lots of videos for putting together bouquets, making centerpieces, and boutonnieres. It was a lot of work but all the flowers lasted through our wedding and a few days to weeks after. All in all, not bad for first timers.

Black & White And Green All Over Wedding

It was a perfect day!
We used a black & white houndstooth patterned through out the wedding in the table linen, bridesmaids' dresses, bow-ties, & shoes too.
We used different shades of green to flush out the decor.

I decided to order through Fifty Flowers after seeing that they had the perfect shade of Midnight Plum Calla Lilies. Customer service was excellent when I needed to make corrections to my order. They sent me text updates about my order including one to let me know that my order had been signed for at our hotel.

My bouquet was put together by a good friend of mine. The centerpieces were my design. It was a blast putting all of the centerpieces together with the bridal party in an assembly line. We were able to make a big statement by using painted mason jars and frog lids so carnations would stay in place.

The arrangements lasted almost two weeks. We came back from our honeymoon to our reception flowers were still in bloom!
Thank you Fifty Flowers for sending me the perfect flowers for our perfect day!

Don't worry! Trust FiftyFlowers!

I was a little leery ordering my reception centerpieces from a website, but I took the risk, and I am so happy that I did! The flowers were beautiful, healthy and in great shape. They arrived on time and the customer services reps made sure to communicate with me throughout the whole process. The flowers were such a hit at the reception! People asked \"who\" did my flowers and were shocked when I told them I ordered them wholesale. A couple of girls in my bridal party are newly engaged and hope to use FiftyFlowers in the future. I know it's scary to trust a website with your flowers, but if your experience is as good as mine, you will not be let down! Good luck!

We were so impressed!

We ordered the DIY Gerbers and Roses package. They arrived on Thursday just as promised, and were absolutely beautiful. After following instructions, and arranging on Friday, the bouquets on Saturday were stunning. We couldn't have been happier. We were a little nervous about depending on internet flowers. But it was a complete success.

Modern Barn Wedding

So coming into this whole experience, I was a little nervous, I watched tons of videos on youtube to know what was the look that I was looking for, plus I was running on a pretty tight budget. That was when I found fifty flowers, they had everything I was looking for and even helped me with coming up with some of the ideas for my centerpieces and bouquets. I ended up having sooo much left over haha which was absolutely awesome. The best day of my life, was a complete success, so thank you fifty flowers.
