Our herbs are shipped directly from our farms to your doorstep. Before shipping your flowers, we prepare them for their journey with proper hydration methods. If your flowers appear sleepy and thirsty after their journey it is absolutely NORMAL. Follow these simple steps to ensure your flowers have the proper care.

  1. When your boxes arrive, it is important that you get your flowers in water as quickly as possible. Open your boxes and remove any protective packaging, such as foam or paper.
  2. Inspect your flowers.*
  3. Gather buckets or containers to hold the flowers. Ensure your buckets or containers are very clean. We recommend rinsing them with warm water.
  4. Fill the containers with at least 4 inches of fresh, cold water. If flower food is available, follow the package directions for adding it to the water.
  5. Cut any straps and remove herbs from the box. Remove any rubber bands or plastic sleeves securing herb bunches together.
  6. Remove any foliage that would fall below the waterline. Leaves below the waterline may cause bacteria to form, shortening the life of your flowers.
  7. Using sharp flower shears or scissors, cut stems diagonally under cool, running water. Cut about an inch off of each stem.
  8. Immediately after cutting the stem, place the herbs in the prepared water.
  9. Ensure that you have sufficient room in each bucket for the amount of stems you will be storing. Do not overcrowd your containers. Overcrowding may damage stems and blooms and effect the blooming process.
  10. Allow flowers at least 4 hours to hydrate, herbs may take up to 12 hours to properly hydrate. Periodically check the water levels, herbs drink a lot of water when they first arrive and the water may need to be refilled.
  11. Keep flowers away from direct sunlight, drafts or extreme temperatures. Flowers should be stored in a cool, dry area until ready to use.
  12. Change water every 24 hours to keep herbs fresh.

*If upon first inspection, you foresee a problem with your herbs, do not proceed processing your order. Leave the flowers intact in the box and call us immediately at 1-877-50 ROSES (507-6737)

Daughter's Bridal Shower

Ordered the large Enchanted Centerpieces to use at my daughter's bridal shower. These flowers arrived 3 days prior to the shower and we followed the instructions for snipping/watering. They held up great and were absolutely beautiful! We were even able to enjoy them for several days after! I would definitely order these again!

Rustic & Romantic Wedding

My daughter was very hands on with her wedding planning and wanted simple colors to accent the beautiful mustard and gray wedding palette. With a vision of big bouquets with falling greenery, she decided on baby's breath and eucalyptus greenery. The flowers arrived a few days before the wedding (they showed up looking beautiful already!) and my daughter and I had such a great time unpacking the flowers and caring for them. It was so fun watching the flowers open up and get more vibrant as the days went by. The night before the wedding, the bridal party created the bouquets with a fun D.I.Y. craft party. All the bouquets were tied with twine, and the bride's bouquet with shimmery mustard yellow ribbon. We had a lot of extra flowers and greenery to use abundantly around the venue as accents and as loose centerpieces. The flowers were a perfect addition to such a beautiful day! We were so excited to have found Fifty Flowers not only because it allowed us to create a specific look, but to also make unforgettable memories!

These little guys just didn't want to open up even thought I put them in a warm place and with warm water. They ended up a bit droopy by the end of the day.

My Daughter's Wedding

This turned out so lovely and beyond my imagination. It was overwhelming to get this many arrangements done... I enlisted all my sisters and nieces and bridesmaids... took all day. But I was sooo pleased with the results and the price. $1600 and we had the loveliest centerpieces - instead of scrimping because of price. It's really easy to put these together, especially with the big hydrangeas as a focal point. My daughter did forget to water them the night before and I had to replace half of the hydrangeas - they drink an incredible amount the first 2 days - which you never see at home because they are usually so old by the time you get them. These being fresh from the growers - they drank easily 2-3 pints in 2 days. You can google how to make bouquets - And I put the hydrangeas in he center (shorter, with a little water vile - so they made it through the day. Just kept them in water until the ceremony. I was so incredibly pleased with the turnout. And Fifty flowers were a huge help in helping me with length of time, how to prep them, and putting the look together. Don't let fear hold you back for having lovely flowers for a reasonable price. But be sure and enlist plenty of help! And they guaranteed if anything didn't make it in - they would quickly replace from local florists. But all came in (not at once).
