+Your flowers will arrive looking thirsty and sleepy. This is absolutely NORMAL. Please refer to our Flower Care tab on this product page for a descriptive process on care and handling instructions.

++In the event that a substitution may be necessary, we take the utmost care in assuring that your order is as similar to your original flower choice as possible. While we will always try to reach you if this situation arises, occasionally time will not allow for this, and flower substitutions may be shipped without verbal confirmation from you. In the case of centerpieces, flowers within the same color palette will be used if possible, even if this means substituting other kinds of flowers of equal or higher value.

**Returns will only be accepted if flowers arrive in poor condition. Returns will not be accepted for circumstances resulting from negligence.

Our flowers are shipped directly from our farms to your doorstep. Before shipping your flowers, we prepare them for their journey with proper hydration methods. If your flowers appear sleepy and thirsty after their journey it is absolutely NORMAL. Follow these simple steps to ensure your flowers have the proper care.

*Your tulips will arrived closed, but once placed in water the stem will continue to grow and the head will bloom substantially. Tulips also have a natural bend. If Tulip stems are slightly bowed, trim stem tips and roll the Tulips in newspaper with the paper extending above the flower tops, but not covering the lower third of the stems. Place them upright in water with a source of light directly above them. Tulip heads naturally follow the light, so placing a light directly above them will help to straighten a bent stem.*

  1. When your boxes arrive, it is important that you get your flowers in water as quickly as possible. Open your boxes and remove any protective packaging, such as foam or paper.
  2. Inspect your flowers.*
  3. Gather buckets or containers to hold the flowers. Ensure your buckets or containers are very clean. We recommend rinsing them with warm water.
  4. Fill the containers with at least 4 inches of fresh, cold water. If flower food is available, follow the package directions for adding it to the water.
  5. Cut any straps and remove flowers from the box. Remove any rubber bands or plastic sleeves securing flower bunches together.
  6. Remove any foliage that would fall below the waterline. Leaves below the waterline may cause bacteria to form, shortening the life of your flowers.
  7. Using sharp flower shears or scissors, cut stems diagonally under cool, running water. Cut about an inch off of each stem.
  8. Immediately after cutting the stem, place the flower in the prepared water.
  9. Ensure that you have sufficient room in each bucket for the amount of stems you will be storing. Do not overcrowd your containers. Overcrowding may damage stems and blooms and effect the blooming process.
  10. Allow flowers at least 4 hours to hydrate, flowers may take up to 12 hours to properly hydrate. Periodically check the water levels, flowers drink a lot of water when they first arrive and the water may need to be refilled.
  11. Keep flowers away from direct sunlight, drafts or extreme temperatures. Flowers should be stored in a cool, dry area until ready to use.
  12. Change water every 24 hours to keep flowers fresh.

*If upon first inspection, you foresee a problem with your flowers, do not proceed processing your order. Leave the flowers intact in the box and call us immediately at 1-877-50 ROSES (507-6737)

Be Careful with Tulips

I think if order tulips it is best to use them right away and not later. Arrived on Wednesday and arranging was done on Friday for a Saturday wedding. Could not use in bouquet because they were so floppy and fragile. I wouldn’t purchase tulips again. They were also hard to Wouk with and didn’t last.

Hi Carol,

I'm so sorry to hear that you're not happy with the tulips on this order.

We run various studies to assure that high-quality flowers are delivered to you, but I'm disappointed to hear that this wasn't the case for you.

If you're not satisfied with your flowers after hydration, please let me know as soon as you can so that we can offer a solution.

I hope you were able to enjoy the rest of your flowers on the order :)

Love Takes Flight With the Help of FiftyFlowers

My daughter's colors were light pink and navy. So we chose pink peonies, blush orchids, delphinium, light pink and white roses, blue/ivory hydrangea and the paper mache textured filler mix. We were lucky in the textured mix was the blue thistle. It added an interesting dimension to the large church displays and other arrangements. For her bouquet I did a cascade using the 4" Floracraft bouquet holder and floral glue, I was able to create the cascade pretty easily. The bridal bouquet had over a dozen peonies. I used roses from the Light Pink group and white roses as well (nearly 8 or so of each) I also created the cascade using the blush orchids and ivy. I put in some baby's breath, too. The bridesmaid's bouquets were predominately roses almost 20 in each a mixture of the light pink (Utterly Charming) and white (Avalanche). Since they were wearing navy, I sprinkled in some delphinium to add contrast along with some baby's breath. I used the 3" Floracraft bouquet holders. The oasis kept the flowers fresh for 24 hours. The table centerpieces were three containers. They varied by size and diameter. The two tallest were for the submerged orchids. The largest diameter had submersible LED lights. The orchids were held in place with pin frogs which were easy to do. They were made on Friday with a few inches of water, transported to reception the next day and filled. After the wedding, I reclaimed the orchids, put them in a bucket and on Sunday placed them around my house. They lasted for several more days even with that abuse! In addition there was one shorter container on each table filled with water beads and LED lights. Each of those had a peony which was in a flower tube. The centerpiece that we used for the entrance to reception had a mixture of peonies, roses and delphinium. The peonies were stunning. People liked the centerpieces as they weren't too tall but added light and environment. We had two very large altar displays. These were in in urns with oasis. I used 8 hydrangeas and 8-10 pink and 8 white roses and 20 or so delphinium with orchid stems and ivy hanging down. The textured filler was very useful for these arrangements. I first arranged the filler with greens from my yard and then begin to fill with flowers. The urns were 18" in diameter and over 2.5 feet in height. The big trick is transporting to the church and then reception. But I put each in a large packing box for the back of the van. They were made Thursday night and taken to church on Friday for wedding on Saturday. Had some issues with heat and Hydrangeas so had to switch a couple. The roses and delphinium and orchids all traveled well and looked great. We did a swag made from tulle down the church aisle with bows and delphinium and baby's breath in water tubes. They did well even though they were up for 24 hours before wedding. I used baby's breath and roses for the unit candle arrangements. We used light pink roses for the boutonnieres. They were easy to make. For flower processing we got a bunch of buckets from Lowe's and set up tables in living room on the tile floor. Everyone pitched in to process the flowers by cutting stems, dipping in Quick Dip and then the buckets of water. They were carried upstairs to room with tarp on floor that we could lower the temp--kept room about 68 degrees. We were having a heat wave so the keeping them cool was important. I made several other arrangements that were used at the wedding and then transported to the reception for use on the special tables like the memorial table, gifts, cake etc. For our cake we just had tiny bundt cakes and one large one with a huge hydrangea in a water tube in the middle. We used all of the flowers and had some filler left! Simple and pretty.

A Colorful, Boho Wedding

I decorated a wedding for a bride who had 5 different bridesmaids dresses and envisioned a boho/eclectic/colorful themed decor. This batch of flowers was perfect for this as it has bright, vibrant colors, a mixture of textures and can be made to cut at different heights, perfect for bottles and batches of different vases/vessels. Most of the flowers in this pack are long lasting so I didn't have to worry about wilting/hot weather, etc.

Would Definitely Suggest!

My wedding was very simple. I only had six months and $5,000 to get it done. I went to a florist and the flower estimate was like $1,800. RIDICULOUS! I got all the corsages, boutonnieres, bouquets, centerpieces, and more that I needed for less than $900 from FiftyFlowers. They were PERFECT! They were packaged beautifully. I did the \"Wedding Flowers In A Box\" for the ceremony. Everything except for the petals came completely ready. The petals you have to pluck but the quantity of petals was perfect for the length of my aisle. The other flowers I just had to take them out of the box. For my centerpieces, I did the \"Centerpieces\" off the site. They were pre-separated. I had to cut the stems down but that was it. Beautiful and completely stress-free.
