A Natural Romance

Sitting in the middle seat of our diesel truck by my new husband, I glanced over by my side-my bouquet occupying the passenger seat. We were off on our month long, cross country honeymoon, and I had insisted on taking some of our flowers along-savoring the beauty for as long as possible! Each flower brought back memories of our perfect wedding day...
Only 95 days before, we had gotten engaged! I was so excited to start all the wedding planning, especially looking forward to the fun of choosing our wedding flowers. With such a short time to arrange all the details, it seemed a bit crazy to go DIY with the florals! So, we enlisted a talented friend to master the arranging. My vision for our wedding celebration was a natural, romantic, vibrant bower in berry, blue, and sage hues. I wanted to create a feeling of depth in the arrangements, with subtle variations in the colors that tied together and played off each other. It was also important to include interesting textures. I spent hours looking through all the gorgeous flowers, and was very helped by customer support with questions on delivery time, colors, etc...The most difficult part of the process was choosing which flowers to order out of so many options!
Finally I made my decision on which flowers to order and impatiently waited for delivery! The flowers were delivered without any problems, and my mom and I prepped them. They all rehydrated easily with practically no losses...we filled up a room with pails of fragrant flowers, what a dream! Then, we picked our favorite flowers for use in the bouquets and boutonnieres, and I turned over the arranging to our friend.
The morning of the wedding, our bouquets arrived! So much vibrance, fresh beauty, and deep romance...I could not have been happier. The flowers all held up well in wind and cool conditions, and lasted well beyond the wedding day- I kept one of our arrangements for a week after the wedding!
Using FiftyFlowers allowed me to individualize our florals in a way that a traditional florist never would have, for less than half the cost! Not to mention the fun it is looking at each and every rose and deciding which one is the BEST one! ;)
