Blue Mountain Views and Colorful Flowers

Our wedding was right in the valley of the mountain we met on. We went to school together and met and fell in love in the last month before we graduated. We chose a lake house venue where we could see the mountains in the background. Even though we had a Fall wedding that was not going to stop me from getting the colorful spring flowers I wanted. I am an artist so having an aesthetically beautiful wedding was really important to me and so was celebrating with all the people in our lives that matter to us. I spent a long time planning and choosing the flowers that would fit the picture in my head. Fifty flowers.com was so helpful at pointing me in the right direction for amount and arrival dates. We used all the flowers in the centerpieces, especially the asters, which were built to look like little flower boxes all down the farmhouse tables at the reception. I also had 9 bridesmaids who helped make my dream bridesmaid bouquets over mimosas and movies the days before the wedding. I also spent a lot of time creating my perfect flower crown out of the ranunculus, anemone and peach garden roses. My husband has bright red hair so using the beautiful ranunculus for his boutonnieres was perfect, it made all the colors stick out in pictures. We also used the eucalyptus garland to wrap around the Chuppah that was built for us by my uncle to stand under during the ceremony. My husband and I spent a month in India before we got engaged and it became a huge part of our story so in order to honor that, I got the yellow flower petals. In India in any sort of celebration they shower the people being honored in thousands of yellow flower petals so when we were announced as husband and wife we had our bridal party turn and throw yellow flower petals all during the kiss. It was such a beautiful day, blue mountain, colorful flowers and fall weather!
